Imrooz acquired the Pakistan interest of a 100-year-old Liverpool based company, G. Atherton and Co, which had offices in both India and Pakistan. To merge both operations, a new company, Atherton & Imrooz was created in 1961, initially focusing on representing quality UK based pigment and dye manufacturers.
