GENERAL MANAGER Khalid Hameed

Khalid Hameed, General Manager, Industrial Raw Material started as a trainee at EMI, but was later shifted to theImrooz IRM paints division. He soon realized his limitation in understanding the chemical industry, and rectified this by applying for evening classes in MSc Chemistry from Karachi University. He juggled between his work, foreign travel and studies and his hard work paid off. He is now the General Manager of the Ex Stock department. He fondly recollects how one of the senior directors at Imrooz encouraged him to take up MSc studies and provided him with the required support. Today, looking back he feels this was the best thing that happened to him. Professionally he grew well and the organization benefitted from his expertise. He feels that Imrooz is unique in human resource development and nurturing talent. Its strength isits people.

Warehouse Manager Amin Pervaiz

Amin joined Imrooz in 1989, at the age of 15 as an office helper, after only completing 10 years of schooling. He was very keen to learn and improve himself. The management at Imrooz spotted his talent and started to nurture his desire to progress and provided him with an enabling environment. Amin was provided with training opportunities to improve his technical and language skills as well as to enhance his education. He was shifted within various departments in order for him to develop an all-round knowledge about the organization and its workings. Amin worked very hard and eventually management rewarded him by making him the Industrial Raw Material Warehouse Manager in 2008. Today Amin, a very happy man, still occupies that position and concentrates on improving his skill and knowledge level. He feels that Imrooz has looked after him like a family member.

Imports & Logistics HEAD Muhammad Rehan

With a sparkle in his eyes and confidence in his demeanor, Rehan shares how Imrooz helped him realize his dreams of working in a managerial position. He joined the company in 2005 as an Accounts Assistant, while still midway through his undergraduate studies. Imroozprovided him flexibility in working hours to help finish not only his Commerce degree but also a Masters in International Relations. After noticing his potential, management shifted Rehanfrom the Accounts department to head the Imports and Logistics department. Today, Rehan is proud of his achievements but also feels humbled by the support he got from Imrooz. Rehan strongly feels that the senior management and Directors at Imrooz are all very approachable, open-minded and genuinely caring about human values. He feels that the company has given him much in terms of professional growth, respect, exposure and most of all belief in himself– something beyond what he could have imagined. Rehan wants to be a role model and a mentor for his junior staff and would like to carry forward the Imrooz tradition of nurturing young talent.

Senior Manager Sales | IRM trading division Imtiaz Khan

One of the oldest employees at Imrooz, Imtiaz joined as an Office Assistant in 1984 while he was still studying in high school. Today he is Senior Manager Sales, in the IRM trading division. An accomplishment he feels very proud of and for which he gives full credit to the management at Imroozwho gave him the opportunity, support and environment for realizing his dreams. While telling his life story, he shares that his professional journey has had a positive impact on his children and family life. He feels that although the Imrooz business is family owned,the business structure is very much like any other corporate entity. Imtiaz believes that Directors at Imrooz are very employee welfare oriented and this is a key for high employee retention at Imrooz. He feels that everyone at Imrooz gets equal opportunities for growth and personal development. He feels proud to be a part of Imrooz and felt extremely privileged to represent Imrooz during overseas trips to China, Dubai and India.
